Personal & Technical Skills:

•        Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
•        Excellent level of oral and written English.
•        Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
•        Ability to work independently & as part of a team
•        Analytical and Methodical approach to troubleshooting
•        Self-motivation and determination.
•        Ability to mentor junior technical staff
•        A professional and diplomatic approach to handling clients

Candidates must be technically astute and have the ability to quickly pick up new technical skills and concepts. Although training (internal and external) will be provided a major focus of the position is self-teaching and informal teaching session with colleagues.

Candidates MUST HAVE all of the following:

•        Support, administration and installation experience of Windows OS’s – PowerUser, standard.
•        An understanding or experience of an industry standard RDBMS (Oracle / SQL Server)
•        An understanding of network technology
•        Experience with other web based products
•        A passion for customer service
•        Excellent level of oral and written English skills

Candidates SHOULD HAVE at least 3 of the following skills:

•        Windows network and/or domain administration/support experience or knowledge.
•        Microsoft Internet Information Server administration or other  Web Server
•        Support or administration experience of an industry standard RDBMS (Oracle / SQL Server)
•        Datawarehousing / Datamarts / OLAP / Datamining / Reporting
•        Experience with HTML or XML
•        Cognos BI / Business Objects / Hyperion /  or equivalent product experience
•        Experience with UNIX (SunOS, IBM AIX, HPUX).

Candidates COULD HAVE some of the following:

•        Experience with Application Server (IBM Websphere, Bea Weblogic, Tomcat)
•        DBA Qualification.
•        Industry certification for RDBMS.
•        Industry certification for Windows support / administration.
•        Other IT industry certification.
