Terms and conditions
1. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Australian residents aged 18 years or over are eligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, Oursteps and agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3. Huawei will run a number of competitions during the Huawei Fest Competitions.
4. Competition periods for each specific competition will be posted on www.oursteps.com.au.
5. How to enter:
(a) To enter any of the Huawei Fest Competitions, you must be a registered member of www.oursteps.com.au.
(b) Entries must be submitted to HuaweiMobileAustralia on WeChat, giving your answer and your Oursteps nickname.
(c) The entry requirements for each specific competition will be posted on www.oursteps.com.au.
6. The selection criteria for each specific competition will be posted on www.oursteps.com.au.
7. Entrants may submit any number of entries for any number of competitions in the Huawei Fest. However, each entrant may only be a winner once. If an entrant has won a prize, the entrant is no longer eligible to win any further prizes.
8. Prizes: the total Value for all the prize is more than $10000 AUD.
9. Entries are received at the time of receipt by the Promotor on HuaweiMobileAustralia on WeChat.
10. Winners will be selected based on the quality of the entries as judged by the Promoter, in its sole discretion. The Promoter’s decision is final.
11. The judges’ decision will be made at Huawei Technologies (Australia) Pty Ltd, Level 6, Tower B, 799 Pacific Highway, Chatswood NSW Australia 2067.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
13. The Promoter may conduct further rounds of selection if any prize is unclaimed or forfeited, and will be conducted at Huawei Technologies (Australia) Pty Ltd, Level 6, Tower B, 799 Pacific Highway, Chatswood NSW Australia 2067.
14. The prize winners will be notified by telephone or email and the name will be posted on HuaweiMobileAustralia on WeChat and www.oursteps.com.au the first business day after the relevant competition has closed.
15. Once the winner a prize has been notified, acceptance of the prize must be confirmed by the winner within 24 hours otherwise the prize will be forfeited.
16. If for any reason the prize winner does not claim their prize within the time 24 hours of notification then the prize will be forfeited and the prize will be reallocated to the next selected entrant based on the criteria outlined in this document.
17. Incomplete or incorrect entrant details may render the entry invalid.
18. Entrants must not submit any material (whether text, video, audio or otherwise) that may be infringing, illegal, offensive, defamatory, inappropriate or pornographic. Any such material shall be automatically disqualified.
19. The validity or invalidity of any entry is at the Promoter's sole discretion.
20. As a condition of accepting the prize the winner will be required to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity form as required by the Promoter. If the winner fails to do so by the time stipulated by the Promoter their entry will be deemed invalid.
21. No prize is transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
22. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter the competition is not capable of being conducted as anticipated, the Promoter
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the promotion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law.
23. To the extent permitted by law the Promoter excludes all conditions, warranties and terms, implied by statute, general law or custom, excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage or taxes (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss or profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition.
24. Each entrant consents to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, any publicity photos, and any submission made by the entrant, in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), the Promoter and or products/services supplied by the Promoter.
25. The Promoter collects personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://consumer.huawei.com/au/privacy-policy/index.htm.
26. The Promoter is Huawei Technologies (Australia) Pty Ltd ABN 49 103 793 380 of Level 6, Tower B, 799 Pacific Highway Chatswood, NSW, 2067.
27. By entering this competition you agree to take due care to ensure your own safety and agree to indemnify Huawei against any loss, damage, cost or expenses (whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury, death, property damage, infringement of third party rights or otherwise) arising from or in connection with your participation in the competition.
28. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
29. The Promoter reserves the right to interpret these terms and conditions.
30. The Huawei Fest Competitions, including these terms and conditions, shall be subject to the laws of New South Wales, Australia. In the event of any conflict between these English terms and conditions and any translation thereof, this English version shall prevail.
