不多说了,大家看看信然后说说感想吧。
Dear Colleagues,
Our company has been affected by many changes in recent months. A slowing of the
economy in Australia and New Zealand and even in the Region, rising fuel prices, interest
rate increases, devaluation of the share market, sub prime mortgage in the USA, uncertain
markets and key customers moving to other providers.
A clear picture is emerging – evidently 2008 is much tougher than expected.
In an effort to create a more positive outlook in 2009, I am working closely with the
leadership team and we are driving innovative and necessary changes within the business
to achieve our objectives.
We have recently changed the focus of our leadership team, with clear parameters on
expectations, outcomes and business improvement / growth strategies. This includes
restructuring the corporate division, adjusting alignment within departments and will result,
regrettably, in a necessary reduction in personnel.
What this means for all of us, regardless of which areas of the business we represent, is a
“tightening of the belt”. Going forward, and for a time frame yet to be determined, staff
replacement, bonuses and salary increases will not be automatic, entertainment and travel
will be kept to a mandatory minimum and procurement and cost saving exercises will be
undertaken right across the business. This means, for example, initiatives such as training
programs will be developed and facilitated in-house.
We will continue with monthly Board Meetings, however, will also have Strategy Meetings
with Corporate General Managers and Directors (Leadership Team). Other groups or
individuals from the organization will be invited as required.
Personally speaking this will enable me to focus my time with the leadership team and visit
more of our sites with a focus on our customers and colleagues. With these changes we
are optimistic that 2009 will bring back solid growth and more returns to the company
In these tougher times I thank you for your continuous effort and, as always, am open to
your ideas and opinions on further improvement and cost reduction strategies.
Kind regards,
