About this job
Our Senior Market Risk Analyst will assist the Bank in its ongoing development of world class market risk modelling and behavioural analysis. They will be responsible for assessing, developing, reviewing and maintaining the tools and models applied by the Bank to monitor liquidity and interest rate risk, while being closely involved in the formulation of parameter setting for market risk policies.
Main responsibilities
• Take the lead in the ongoing development and implementation of liquidity risk and interest rate risk models and related documentation
• Undertake statistical and quantitative analysis of behaviour of the Bank's deposit-taking and lending portfolios
• Liaise with Group market risk colleagues to fully understand the requirements of Group market risk
• Replicate HO calculations and contribute to timely analysis and feedback from HO requests
• Assist market risk colleagues, responsible for reporting, to develop market risk reporting templates
We’re looking for someone with:
• 3+ years proven experience in a relevant position
• Experience in a Banking or Corporate Treasury background, either in Market Risk, Treasury or Asset & Liability Management
• Specific experience in implementing and reporting on the prudential standards APS210 (liquidity) and APS117 (IRRBB)
• Advanced user experience with ALM systems and financial reporting systems
• User experience with Quantum/QRisk Treasury system
• Advanced Excel VBA
• Strong SQL or SAS coding skills highly desirable
• Superior analytical and numerical skills
• Have a questioning nature and a drive to challenge the status quo
• Good interpersonal skills to foster partnership and teamwork
