(I don't think My experience is enouth ....![]() A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Business Analyst to join this respected government organisation based in Melbourne CBD - this is a long-term, 18 month contract! Please see overview below: Business Analyst This role will see you responsible for replacing the current finance, HR, programs and projects, contracts and grants systems with a single integrated solution which needs to be integrated into an existing environment. To succeed in this role, you must have extensive experience: 1. In UML 2. Working within a finance (or related) department 3. Writing test specs and with testing tools Key skills required: *Previous work experience in similar role as a Business Analyst, including gathering business requirements and translating these into detailed functional specifications together with the development of test scripts and user manuals *Strong experience in UML. Experience with the modeling tool 'Enterprise Architect' would also be highly desirable *Experience in the use of structured testing techniques and exposure to the use of testing tools such as Mercury Test Director *Experience in coordinating user testing *Experience with CRM systems, Geac Pathway, Aurion (HR), Hummingbird Document Management or Oracle Financials Responsibilities include: *Analyse and document business processes using UML notation (Use Cases, Activity Diagrams etc) *Assist with specification of the system configuration / design and associated interfaces *Assist with specification, design and development of reporting *Assist with specification and execution of system and integration testing *Assist with specification and coordination of user acceptance testing *Assist with the specification and execution of data migration from existing systems, including coordination of data cleansing where required *Assist with development of training plans, training materials and possibly with delivery of training courses *Report to the Project Manager any issues of risk impacting the progress of project schedules, costs or resources *Ensure quality controls are applied You must have the ability to work within a team environment, be self-motivated and results-oriented. You must also be highly organised and have the ability to multi-task. A strong customer focus is also required.
