Job Title: Technical Support Engineer Bullet Point 1: Inner city location Bullet Point 2: Professional consulting company Bullet Point 3: English, Mandarin and Cantonese language skills essential Job Ref: MM/140807 Summary: Provide 1st and 2nd level remote IT support across Asia Pacific region for a high profile Business Consulting Services organisation. Description: Our client, a specialist in the Business consulting services space, has a requirement for a technical person with well developed interpersonal and communication skills to provide 1st and 2nd level support to some of it's Asia Pacific offices. You will deliver support for all users including senior management, in locations including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India and Vietnam. In addition, to proactively monitor server activities and identify performance impact issues such as disk space, backup patterns etc. There will be a shift roster requirement, but not excessive, and hours will be largely mainstream. You will need a strong technical understanding of Windows XP Pro and the Office 2003 suite, Active Directory domain and Exchange server messaging. Microsoft certifications is desired and Remote access software knowledge is an advantage, but not essential. To be successful, you will have exceptional communication and analytical skills, be a proactive problem solver and self motivated. Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese is important, as would and a related IT tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
