Pakistan wants Australian uranium

A senior Pakistani politician says Australia should consider selling uranium to the central Asian nation.
The comments from Pakistan Minister for Religious Affairs Ejaz ul-Haq come as Australia comes close to finalising a plan to sell yellowcake to Pakistan's rival India.
"Pakistan should be considered alongside India when countries who are working in this region, they have to keep the balance of power in this region," the minister told ABC online.
He rejected concerns Pakistan would use the uranium in nuclear weapons.
"Pakistan's nuclear program is totally peaceful.
"If we are going to go further into nuclear it is going to be for energy, because we are suffering from power shortages."
