Communications Support Officer (based in Livepool) The main purpose of this position is to support and maintain Telecommunication systems. This will require a person who is a team player, is well organised and has a strong customer focus. There is a range of general tasks to be completed which includes: * Maintenance and support of data and voice communication systems. It is essential that the person have experience in the following areas: * Strong telecommunications troubleshooting and fault rectification abilities. * A minimum of 3 years experience supporting and maintaining IP LAN and WAN systems. * Cisco switches and routers. * Documentation of existing and new telecommunications services. * Skills transfer to permanent staff members. It is desirable that the person has experience in the following areas: * CheckPoint and NetScreen firewalls configuration and troubleshooting. * HP Openview configuration. * Using Network General sniffer products. * Cisco VOIP systems.
