Are you a financial modelling/probability guru and destined to be a trader? This is an unmatched opportunity to join a leading international trading house where you will receive training in the USA, work with very bright and social individuals, and enjoy a fantastic work environment with all the bells and whistles.

This entry role is designed to train you in the field of trading. As Assistant Trader you will sit directly with your team and be responsible for:

    * analysis and flow of market information - following daily reports of dividends, earnings and news
    * adjustment of options market - input system parameters to generate option quotes based on theoretical options models
    * management of option specialist books
    * uploading trades and resolving breaks
    * maintaining trading positions
    * reconciliation of position market value between prime brokers and desk


In addition you will communicate market information to traders, produce reports and pricing sheets for risk managers, and calculate profit and loss.

Following your anticipated high performance in this role, you will relocate to the USA head office where you will be trained for 3 months and then return to Sydney to launch your trading desk.

To secure this outstanding role you will have the following qualifications:

    * exceptional quantitative and analytic skills with knowledge of statistics and probability
    * a degree related to the above
    * thorough mastery of Excel and Access
    * a confident, social and assertive nature with the ability to think quickly on your feet
    * financial markets product knowledge - especially understanding of option price theory and models
    * knowledge/experience in Asian markets including Asian languages is preferred but not essential
