![]() On 16 September 2010, from 12:30 to 2:30, Richard Stallman from the Free[1] Software Foundation will be speaking at Storey Hall on Swanston Street, Melbourne. The talk is free, and the IEEE-CS and SAGE-AU are getting together to shout pizza and drinks afterwards. (NOTE- for shouting the refreshments, SAGE-AU will have a table with one of the banners from the conference and membership information -- particularly student membership information) You can help me a lot by letting me know the names of organisations in Melbourne who might be interested in this. I will then contact the organisations to promote the event. I'm already planning to contact: Melbourne PC Users' Group ,and especially the convenors of special interest groups that seem to have an affinity with free software. The OpenSolaris Users' Group. I think that there is a Linux group in Melbourne, but I'm not sure of the name. Is the AUUG still around in Melbourne? Is there anyone who I've missed out? [1] Free as in speech, not beer |
