http://www.news.com.au/technolog ... rfro0-1225861564802 WHEN it comes to iPad rivals, it's looking increasingly like a case of if there will actually be any, rather than who it will be. In the wake of the death of Microsoft's much-lauded Courier tablet, TechCrunch is claiming HP has now killed off its Slate project. The reason - HP didn't like the way it works with Window 7, mainly due to perceived load times and poor battery life. The Windows 7 Slate was supposed to go on sale mid-2010. TechCrunch claims it's not the ultimate end for HP in the tablet market however, just a sign that it's going to focus on other rumoured tablet projects. One option is a tablet that runs on Google's Android system, developed specifically for mobile devices. However, even the Android version of the Slate is in danger, considering HP last week acquired smartphone manufacturer Palm and its mobile operating system webOS for some $1.5 billion. 叫板iPad,惠普发布Slate平板电脑 http://www.oursteps.com.au/bbs/v ... &extra=page%3D3 微软取消了Courier平板电脑的计划。 http://www.oursteps.com.au/bbs/v ... &extra=page%3D1 注意这个新闻的最后一句: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/ ... rg90o-1225861824659 "HP has said it is dropping Windows 7 from its Slate device in exchange for Palm's webOS software." 看来是要用webOS了. |
