请教一个极其简单的数学题
A boy is 9 years old, his father is 4 times older than this boy. How old is his father?

老师给的答案是 4 x 9 = 36 years
但是题目中是4 times more than，不是4 times as old as

我感觉答案应该是4 x 9 + 9 = 45 years

我感觉这实际上是是对题目英文理解的问题。请教一下到底应该咋算？
