Title: Machine Operator - Plastics Company Type: EMS Packaging Location: Brisbane Northern Suburbs Industry: Manufacturing, Transport & LogisticsMachine Operators Full time Description Multisteps Industries is a successful and well-established food packaging manufacturer. We are currently looking for experienced machine setters and operators for our new state of the art Queensland manufacturing facility. Thermoforming Packaging As one of the largest provider of thermoformed packaging, we provide a range of rigid packaging solutions for the FMCG industry including the food and medical industries. This is a newly created role where you will have the opportunity to showcase and demonstrate your ability to manage and solve complex problems to ensure an efficient production line. We currently have roles between the hours of 6am- 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm-8am. The Role Reporting to the Production Manager your duties will include but not be limited to the following: Set, maintain and monitor machine to make sure it is functioning properly Set machinery ensuring all specifications are monitored and maintained throughout the process Take corrective action immediately if any machine or quality problems arise Troubleshoot and take corrective action to ensure machine operation Consistently ensure all OH&S and housekeeping procedures are completed Work towards production efficiency goals experience with operating heavy machinery is essential Qualifications Experienced Machine Setter Mechanical aptitude, solve problems and machine troubleshooting Ability to handle high-pressure environment and can work as part of a team and with little supervision A good understanding of HACCP and Food Safety requirements. Hold a Fork Lift license Have the ability to undertake repetitive tasks well Good attention to details and a can-do attitude Prior experience in a similar role such as CNC and/or injection/flexi molding will be highly favored.
