Technical Support Engineer Mt Waverley Vic 3149 As a Security Technical Support Professional, you’ll be responsible for professional coverage of Technical Support internally and externally, and onsite service/commissioning support as directed. As part of National Technical Support team, you'll help the team deliver outstanding tech support to our national based customers. Your ability to troubleshoot, solving problems and love engaging with people to help offer tech support at all levels. Minimum with 3 years’ experience in Security Product technical support role or equivalent industry experience. Relevant security/electrical/electronic trade qualifications or equivalent security trade experience High level knowledge on security products (CCTV, Intercom, Access Control, Alarm, Locking and others) Excellent knowledge on network concepts, (Routers, switches, LAN/WAN), troubleshoot and break down hardware and software issues Knowledge across Windows Desktop Platforms (Windows 7, 10), Apple Mac Platforms (macOS & basic UNIX fundamentals). Mobile platforms (iOS, Android) Excellent diagnostics and troubleshooting skills Project a positive and confident attitude focused on meeting and exceeding internal and external customer expectations Extensive customer facing experience Responsibilities include: Technical support – working within the National Tech Support team supporting customers Provide phone and email technical support to customers for troubleshooting, system installation, programming, system design and servicing. Pre-sales systems engineering support – this includes designing security & network communications systems to meet project specifications and customer sales enquiries. Assist sales staff in security system design and confirm product meets specification. Prepare product and solution proposals. On-site commissioning and technical assistance as directed. In branch project equipment staging as directed. Configuring, programming, building, connecting all CSM’s products – CCTV, Access control, Alarms, Intercoms, electronic locking, and networking equipment. Assist Sales Staff and Customers with Training Initiatives with Existing Product Lines and New Products Assist with Technical Support Setup of Equipment for Trade Shows and in-branch. Assist and work within National Technical Support in assessing new products suitability for distribution. This position from time to time may require interstate travel for Training or Onsite assistance. Continually work with Vendors to maintain latest knowledge on product lines.
