Fred Caterson Reserve Where: Castle Hill Follow the path from Fred Caterson Reserve to Castle Hill Heritage Park for a scenic walk through Castle Hill and views of Cattai Creek. Start at the Gilbert Rd entrance to Fred Caterson and follow the signs. Or, stay on the 3.5km track around Fred Caterson Reserve, which takes about 75 minutes to complete. 9. The Great North Road Where: Wiseman’s Ferry Start at Devine’s Hill and wander along The Great North Rd. The trail was built by convicts from sandstone during 1826-1834s, an extraordinary engineering feat. The trail includes many significant sites including Clares Bridge, the second oldest bridge in mainland Australia. While you’re in Wiseman’s Ferry check out the oldest bridge, on Wisemans Ferry Rd near the start of Devines Hill. Signs will point out highlights along the way. 10.
