Day 1, 17 Dec 16 Sydney to Hong Kong (Transit) Left Sydney on the first day of School Holidays, Saturday night flight @10.20 pm. Arrived Hong Kong on Sunday morning, 5 am. Hong Kong Trip Plan Total transport costs per person: HK$113.40 + HK$50 refundable deposit on Octopus card = HK$163.40 5:00am – Aeroplane arrives. 5:00-6:00am – Customs check 6:00am – Check-in T1, Area F, F13-17 6:00-7:30am – Take S1 (35min, HK$3.50) to Tung Chung and MTR from Tung Chung to Lai King, then to Prince Edward (31min, HK$16.90). 7:30am-9:00am – Breakfast in Prince Edward (七喜粥麵小廚, 224 Fa Yuen St or 第一腸粉專賣店, 384 Portland St), below HK$50 9:00am-9:15am – MTR to Diamond Hill (13min, HK$6.70) 9:15am-11:15am – Explore Nan Lian Garden and Chi Lin Nunnery 11:15am-11:30am – MTR from Diamond Hill to Prince Edward (11min, HK$6.70) then walk to Super Star Seafood Restaurant (Shop 601A, 6/F, Moko, 193 Prince Edward Road West, Mong Kok). Or Jade Garden Restaurant (Shop 603, 6/F, Moko, 193 Prince Edward Road, Mong Kok), 11:30am-2:30pm – Dim Sim Lunch, HK$100-200 2:30pm-3:00pm – Take MTR to Tsim Sha Shui (8min, HK$5.30), then Star ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central (9min journey, ferry comes every 6-8min, HK$3.40) 3:00pm-4:00pm – Walk along harbour and to Peak Tram lower terminus (about 20min walk from ferry to terminus) 4:00-5:00pm – Take Peak Tram (tram about 10min, wait about 20min, return HK$45) to top of Victoria Peak 6:00-7:00pm – Eat dinner at Tsui Wah Restaurant (Shop 1A, G/F, The Peak Galleria, 118 Peak Road, The Peak), HK$50-100 7:00-8:00pm – Take tram down 8:10-0-9:40pm – Take MTR from Central to Tung Chung (37min, HK$22.40), then S1 to airport 11:40pm – Aeroplane departs from HK |
