老用户还好,新用户也就不用选择它了。

TPG scraps cheap plans

Popular ADSL provider TPG has scrapped its cut-price 1.5Mbit ADSL plans in favour of more expensive offerings.

TPG became well known for its incredibly cheap 1.5Mbit services when it launched a 20GB plan for $49.95/month in September last year. Priced well below published wholesale costs, it seemed unlikely that TPG could be making a profit on the plan. One year later, new users will have to pay an extra $20 for a similar plan.

The new plans start at $29.95 for 1GB at 256/64 speeds and go up to $69.95 for 25GB at 1500/256 speeds. It's unknown at this stage whether existing customers will be forced onto the new plans.

The new pricing has also done away with the metro/regional split pricing introduced earlier this year, instead offering the same plans nationally for residential users.

TPG has also been in the news recently over moves to cut costs by outsourcing its helpdesk to the Philippines.

没钱呀,选择一个好的ISP真难呀
