Brand new North Rocks Pre-School to commence in 2016 North Rocks and Carlingford residents will be able to send their pre-school aged children to a brand new facility with the same exceptional operators, following Council’s decision to award a 10-year licence to North Rocks Pre-School Inc. The North Rocks Pre-School has operated out of a Council-owned building at 11 North Rocks Rd, North Rocks since 1970. Last year, Council approved the sale of this building to Westfield Ltd. Council will build a brand new community centre with the proceeds from the sale, which will include space for a new pre-school. After an expressions of interest process, a 10-year licence was awarded to North Rocks Pre-School Inc. “This is a great result for the community in North Rocks and Carlingford because not only do the parents get a brand new facility for their children, but they also get the peace of mind of knowing the same very experienced, local operators,” Mayor Jefferies said. “And this isn’t just rewarding them for their longevity. The North Rocks Pre-School group has been rated as exceeding the national quality standards for childcare by NSW Education & Communities.” Mayor Jefferies said that the new pre-school had found an ideal home at North Rocks Park. “This is the first major change to come to the park in four decades and we are looking forward to making a significant new announcement in the future.
