[picture of people enjoying nature- bushwalking, mountain biking (ideally including children/families] Residents in and around Willoughby: Take this chance to tell your representative in Parliament - Gladys Berejiklian - and other candidates in your electorate that nature matters to you. Whether you care about local issues like 1050 legislation, or the protection of natural reserves, or national issues like decreasing plastic pollution or investment in renewable energy, make sure you tell Gladys by visiting wilderness.org.au/naturensw and taking the pledge to consider nature before you vote at this upcoming state election. [picture of TWS volunteers having fun] If you want to get more involved why not help us out on our two door knocking drives on 7 March and 21 March in and around Willoughby. If you aren’t comfortable knocking on doors we would love to have your help distributing flyers to local letterboxes. If you would like to hear directly from your local candidates, come along to a ‘meet the candidates community forum’ at Dougherty House in Chatswood. The forum starts at 7 pm on Thursday, 19 March. (Restricted to residents of the Willoughby electorate only due to number constraints) For more information, or to register please email kaine.johnson@wilderness.org.au or call 0499 092 565 |
