又是一年拿report时， 分享英国有一所小学附在学生成绩单里的一封信，任何人的天性都是独一无二的，都有着多面的色彩，都值得被善待和挖掘，都可以变得伟大。
Dear ***
Please find enclosed your end of KS2 test results. We are very proud of you as you demonstrated huge amounts of commitment and tried your very best during this tricky week.
However, we are concerned that these tests do not always assess all of what it is that make each of you special and unique. The people who create these tests and score them do not know each of you-the way your teachers do, the way I hope to, and certainly not the way your families do. They do not know that many of you speak two languages. They do not know that you can play musical instrument or that you can dance or paint a picture. They do not know that your friends count on you to be there for them or that your laughter can brighten the dreariest day. They do not know that you write poetry or songs, play or participate in sports, wonder about the future, or that sometimes you take
care of your little brother or sister after school. They do not know that you have travelled to a really neat place or that you know how to tell a great story or that you really love spending time with special family members and friends. They do not know that you can be trustworthy, kind or thoughtful, and that you try, every day, to be your very best…the scores you get will tell you something, but they will not tell you everything.
So enjoy your results and be very proud of these but remember there are many ways of being smart.
亲爱的XXX同学：
你这次小学毕业考的成绩已经附在这封信里了。对你的成绩我们感到非常骄傲，我们觉得你已经尽了最大的努力。
但是你要知道的是，这些考试成绩其实并不能反应你是有多么的与众不同。
出这些考试题的叔叔阿姨们并不像你在学校的老师一样了解你们每一个人，更不会像你们爸爸妈妈一样了解你。
考试不会告诉他们，你们当中有些人才小学就已经会说两种语言。
考试不会告诉他们，你们已经能熟练演奏音乐，能唱歌，会跳舞。
考试不会告诉他们，你能给你的小伙伴带来笑声，你是一个值得小伙伴信赖的人。
考试不会告诉他们，你也许能写诗或者写歌，甚至你球也踢得很好。
考试不会告诉他们，你在家能把弟弟妹妹照顾得很周到。
考试不会告诉他们，你去过多少美妙的地方，能说出多少美妙的故事和经历。
考试不会告诉他们，你是一个善良、有思想、可信赖的人。
考试不会告诉他们，你每一天都在让自己变成一个更好的人。你的分数只能告诉大家你的一面，但是它不能代表你的每一面。
所以，分数只是分数，我们可以为自己的分数而自豪，但是请永远记住，人可以有很多种伟大的方式，考试绝对不是唯一的一种。
