年仅29岁的英国男子John Christian Jeffrey 2月28日死于英国西南部Taunton 的一家招待所。这家招待所是专门为有吸毒，酗酒和心理问题的人开设的。不过，Jeffrey是属于正常死亡。

A BRITISH man who weighed 330kg when he died was winched into his grave today with the help of a mechanical digger.
The heavy-lifting equipment took more than four hours to lower the oversized coffin of John Christian Jeffrey into his final resting place at a cemetery in southwest England.
The 29-year-old was found dead in his room at a hostel for people with drug, drink and mental health problems in Taunton on February 28. He is believed to have died from natural causes.
Jeffrey, who had no known relatives and was originally from London, was buried with just one person in attendance. The funeral was paid for by the local municipal council.
"The most important thing for us was that he was allowed to be laid to rest in dignity," said Reverend Geoff Boucher, who conducted the five-minute ceremony.
"It was the least he deserved."
A team of six cemetery workers spent five days preparing the grave, which measured 1.42 metres by 2.34 metres. Jeffrey was not cremated because his body was too wide.
"It's been the biggest job I've been involved in by a long way," groundsman Dave Butler said.
"It's a tragic story that he was so young yet had no friends or relatives - but at least we've given him a good sendoff." |
