Sounds like you are good parent. so thumb up for you first.
Then, barking is fairly common among the small dogs. Most of time, they are scared or intimated by large dog, they feel there is need to respond. so they rush out and barking.
I would still say it's leadership issue. Most people who have small pets intend to over spoil the dog. Like cuddle dog and carry dog to everywhere in the arms etc.
Dogs normally decided what to do, what to eat, and where to go. so he becomes the leader of the pack.
You should start to build stronger leadership like dog is not allowed to go through door before you, dog can not block your way, dog should stand up and move if you want to sit instead of sitting next to dog.
A lots of small things can reflect your leadership.
In my home, we give Luffy commend "move" at least 10 or 15 times. Human shouldn't give way to dog.
You also need to decide when to take dog walk, if dog whining, just say no.
You need to decide when to eat, it's okay that you give food late. |
