PC/ LAN Support Technician

An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and dedicated Distributed IT Support Technician. Working in our national IT Division, this position sits within the Distributed Support Team and will provide PC and LAN Support to over 4500 end users based in our NSW Warehouses, Administration Offices, Regional Offices and Area Offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery of quality PC and LAN support to the business
Deployment, imaging and management of PC’s and Laptops within Woolworths’ standard operating environment
Provide technical assistance to local business units with projects requiring IT involvement
Implement and support Nationally developed IT policies, standards and initiatives across all local IT systems and platforms
Provide quality technical support services to all customers in a professional, responsive and effective manner
Provide users with assistance to queries on all office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Developing and maintaining relationships with internal support teams to resolve IT support issues
Participate in out-of-hours support roster
Patching of IP Phones & IT equipment
Ensure remote communication rooms are in line with WW Standards
On-site management and installation of IT infrastructure to WW offices and warehouse sites.
Support of multiple in-house and third party applications.
This role will also require some travel between our Yennora, Parramatta, Pennant Hills and other offices
This role will be based at either one of our new support offices at Norwest Business Park or Pennant Hills. Our support offices are modern and offer various attractive facilities such as secure parking, conference/training facilities, spacious open plan offices, dry cleaning, fitness centre and bistro/café areas.
To be considered for this position, you will meet the following:
MCP certification (MCSA is desirable)
Previous experience in a 1st and 2nd level desktop support role with a large commercial organisation
MS Office XP, MS Outlook XP and Wireless experience
Knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix and PDA devices
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Solid experience in a customer focussed role, developing and sustaining productive customer relationships
