HI, my wife is Chinese and we are building with zego insulated concrete form we also used steel internal walls and roof trusses. with the internal walls I made them the thickness of the foam longer, then cut the foam out and bolted the frame to the concrete. where the internal frame bolted to the concrete I had a floating stud placed in the internal wall so I could slide it to the out side to make a stud for the plaster. We also have hydronic heating and kommering Upvc windows, some of our windows have got internal blinds in them. As we have plaster reveals on all our windows I needed to put a piece of timber across the top of the windows before the plaster went on so we have something for the curtains to go onto. I also have had 3 phase put into my house, this is not uncommon as people use three phase for air conditioning, accept I have split the three phases through out the entire house. So if a line drops and neighbours have no electricity we should, I also have two 20 amp three phase power points in the garage which can be increased to 32 amps. we have been told that we will not need air conditioning or evaporative cooling so I am not putting it in, except for the garage of cause, need comfort while I work on my bike! All external walls, re-enforcing and concrete pour, internal walls, roof trusses and roof battans I put up my self. We have used our roof space as storage and have two attic ladders.
I am in the Burwood area and am happy to discuss detail if you wish |
