一个新西兰游客在加拿大用一张在奥克兰一家银行换来的假币在餐馆结账被拒收，她当时相当的尴尬。
她是在出发前跟纽澳银行Remuera分行换的这张加拿大假币。
周日先驱报报道说，这名妇女用100加币的纸币在饭店付款被店家认出是加币拒收。
她说＂我觉得非常尴尬和羞耻，当时一堆人在排队付结账，而服务生多我说我的钱看起来不想真的＂她拿着剩下的220块去了加拿大银行，在那儿，这两百二十块由于是假币而被没收。
纽澳银行不能解释为什么有假币躲过了它的检查，发言人说已经向该女士道歉并退还了全部金额。

A Kiwi traveller has been left embarrassed after she tried to pay for a meal in Canada with counterfeit money given to her by a bank in Auckland.

The woman was given the forged Canadian currency by ANZ's Remuera branch before she left on her holiday.

She discovered the notes were fakes when a restaurant refused to take one of her $C100 bills, the Herald on Sunday reports.

"It was just the embarrassment and humiliation of presenting currency in a queue of people waiting to pay their restaurant bills and having staff say to me, 'I'm sorry these don't look genuine'," she said.

The woman took the remaining $C220 to a Canadian bank, where it was confiscated for being counterfeit.

ANZ couldn't say how the counterfeit currency slipped through its checks, but a spokesman said the bank had apologised to the woman and refunded her money.
