We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring leader to lead the Adcenter team in the Advanced Technology Center, Beijing, China. The Adcenter team is responsible for applied research and development of key data mining technologies that are used by the several product teams including Adcenter and Search. Our goal is to provide high relevance information on the user profiles, customer targeting, keyword and ad relevance and content analysis. We believe that this is the technology that will allow us to provide the best customer value to our advertisers and publishers. Our challenge is to innovate and provide new mechanisms for placement of Ads such as video and devices. This is an exciting and highly impactful area for Microsoft to excel in and innovate to provide compelling new models of ad revenue, customer satisfaction with our Adcenter and higher search results relevance.
Primary Responsibilities include:
* To lead and build a very strong cross functional team that includes Applied Research also. This involves recruiting, building and leading the team to innovate, develop and release core artificial intelligent platforms to Adcenter and other relevant groups in Microsoft.
* Proactively identifying key skills required now and in the future, and for building world class centers of excellence around those skills.
* Be accountable for overall work force plan that complements Adcenter R&D growth plan and ensures seamless application of on-demand staffing to match project needs.
* Effectively collaborating with teams in Redmond to refine the development process, release criteria and develop release schedules.
* Providing leadership to product strategy, product plans and policies.
A qualified candidate should be a strong leader with extensive experience in the search and advertisement industry with a proven track record in managing large R&D teams, developing business strategies and shipping high quality products, solutions and services. The ideal candidate should have minimum of 10 years of industry experience with 5+ years in leadership roles, strong communication and problem solving skills and ability to collaborate with teams across multiple continents, in addition to team and people management experience. Prior experience with web services, search technologies, data mining and artificial intelligence is highly preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Communication/Electric Engineering, or related discipline is required. Master's degree preferred. China experience is a plus. |
