I want to select HomeLine™ Budget3 plan. But I see "Things you need to know"  have:

3. Available to most Telstra full service residential customers. Only one fixed line per customer. HomeLine Budget customers must agree not to acquire services from other carriage service providers by dialling the access override code of those carriage service providers.


Is it that I cannot apply the digiplus override service?

是不能用,但是这个你到不用担心.我还没有听说有中国同志用那个override service打长途呢，都用的电话卡或者直拨吧.

电话卡应该不算吧

我的理解是override carriage service是指在长途前拨打特定号码(一般是四位好象), 这样长途费由那个公司charge. (以前见过一些, 意大利人用的比较多).

严格意义上说其实实质是一样的，不过最好不要算，不然大飞熊的计划就彻底落空了。

哈，突然发现这个:

Pre-selection and override codes
Form of Regulation
As a supplier of a standard telephony service, Telstra must provide pre-selection of carriage service providers in relation to calls made using a standard telephony service in accordance with the ACA’s determination.  This is provided for in Part 17 of the Telecommunications Act, and the Telecommunications (Provisions of Pre-selection for a Standard Service) Determination 1998.

Pre-selection allows customers, while connected to a carriage service provider, to specify another carriage service provider to provide certain telecommunications services.  Override codes allow a customer to select a different carriage service provider on a call-by-call basis.

Currently, carriage service providers must provide for the pre-selection of one carriage service provider for the following voice calls:

national long distance calls;
fixed to mobile calls;
international calls; and
some operator services.

An override function for these voice calls must also be provided.

也就是说，telstra的这个条款是违反法律的. 所以应该可以随便用了,哈哈

原来local call也有override啊,我真是孤陋寡闻了.

都怪optus培训的时候也不讲!!

I give the digiplus a call,  their customer service don't know this rule and give me register it. They tell me I can use override tonight.

就是不去管它。

几年前它们有个NET的plan，就是让你到网上去查账单，信用卡付款，没paper bill。我参加了。结果没多久就被取消，自动转为complete plan。再接下来信用卡付帐要手续费,这不就是明抢吗?我就再要回paper bill，跟它斗争到底。

telstra 这个条款不违反法律,因为他有很多plan,提供 standard telephony service ,但这个HomeLine™ Budget 非标准的,因此可提出以上条件.

Exactly the same here. If you get paper bills back and pay by credit card, still the commission will be charged for using credit card?

HomeLine Budget suits customers who make very few calls, as the local rate is 30c, even the line rental is only $18.50. However, This plan must be the customer's only Fixed access line with Telstra. Customers on this plan must agree not to acquire services from other carriage service providers by dialling the access override code of those carriage service providers while subscribing to the HomeLine Budget service.  As you said the T&C  above.

Regarding to the other plan HomeLine Plus($29.95), which most customers currently choose.  You will receive more benefits on it, cheaper local call rate $17.5 c, also, if you have one more service with Telstra such as your mobile, pay tv or internet, you can receive 50 free local calls, two more services, which will be 125 free local calls on fixed line or 125 free sms, and cheaper monthly access fee for Bigpond internet etc.  

For the customers who have seleved a Carrier other than Telstra to provide their STD, international and Fixed to Mobile call. The customers receive an account from Telstra for their line rental and local calls. They get a separate bill from their chosen Carrier for STD, international and calls to Mobile numbers.

Above is what I've learned from Telstra during the training, while actually I am not working at Fixed Phone Dep, so for more details you can ring 132200.
