Water and sewerage system charges
Water and sewerage services play a significant part supporting our standards of living and protecting public health.
In Melbourne we have a world class water supply and sewerage system and we want to keep it that way.
2012/2013 System charges - Property owners pay these charges
Sewage System (sewage disposal) charges
Residential sewage is all the water that goes down the kitchen, laundry and bathroom sinks including the toilet.
The residential sewage disposal charge starting 1 July 2012 is $1.9546 per kilolitre. The charge is applied to an estimated volume of sewage that is disposed into the sewerage system from inside your home.
Landlords
If you own a separately metered rental property you are responsible for payment of the water and sewerage system charges and the drainage and parks charge.
The tenant is responsible for the water usage and sewage disposal charges
Tenants
Where the residential property you live in as a tenant is separately metered, you are responsible for paying water usage and sewage disposal charges. The property owner is responsible for service charges on the property. Maintenance of water supply and sewerage service is also the owners responsibility.
This user pays system of billing provides the tenant control over their account. More information for tenants here.
怎么看糊涂了,sewage disposal charges 一会说是房东付,一会又说租客付?
