Desktop Support Engineer - Data#3 Managed Services

Data#3 Managed Services is seeking to appoint two Desktop Support Engineers to provide on-site support services to one of our large Melbourne based clients. The role will be providing technical support for client end-users, and will be based at the client site.
The role will encompass the following key areas of responsibility:
•Resolve customer problems and requests to required service targets
•Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve problems
•Liaise with the customer to perform incident analysis and problem resolution management, to required service levels, defining and recommending solutions where no precedent solution is available.
•Assess and evaluate risk and understand the implications of new technologies
•Perform basic hardware diagnostics, routine moves, adds and changes
•Accurately and consistently perform general administration and management of job logging functions
•Working hours are between 8am – 5pm or 9am – 6pm on a normal working day
•Contribute to the maintenance of documentation on standard technical configurations, as well as standard processes and operating procedures
For you to be successful in this role, you will need:
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a corporate IT environment
•Relevant industry experience and, preferably, MCP Certifications in Desktop Platforms – Win XP & Win7
•ITIL certification highly desirable
•Lotus Notes, Citrix experience a bonus
•Hardware troubleshooting skills
•Have exceptional communication skills both verbally and written
•Have experience providing IT support to senior executives.
•Be a team player but have the ability to work autonomously to achieve the best outcome for the client
•Relevant Tertiary Education desirable
•Possess the skills and traits necessary to being successful as a Desktop Engineer, such as professionalism and dedication
•Strong verbal communications skills essential as is the ability to assist novice and experienced IT users
•A current driver’s license and vehicle essential
