Can't believe Pan's Labyrinth didn't win the Best Foreign Language Film. These Oscar voting members must have sh*t in their heads. This is that sort of movie that only appears on this planet once a decade or so. I'm sure that winning German film is very good, but how funny can it by to flog a dead horse? On the contrary, Pan's Labyrinth told a story that has eternal moral values, a story torn apart and woven back together by both brutal reality and human nature.
To be cynical, it seems to these damn rednecks, anything that dances on the grave of communism is a masterpiece. So f*cking open minded. But that's no surprise, Oscar nowadays is so rotten with money and power play, there is hardly any fairness left anyway... |
