曼联用1千8百万镑签了德赫亚,但老头子说他曾经可以用10万镑签下乔哈特但最终放弃了,他承认这是个错误,老头还表示2-3年内不考虑退休。
Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he passed up the chance to sign Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart for just £100,000.
Hart joined City from Shrewsbury in a £600,000 deal in 2006 and has developed into his country's first choice as well as one of Europe's finest young goalkeepers.
Ferguson - who is currently trying to bed in £18 million signing David De Gea - says he had the chance to sign Hart in a bargain deal but decided against doing so.
"I could have bought Joe Hart for £100,000 so we all make mistakes," Ferguson told the BBC.
"I've no doubt [that Hart will be England goalkeeper for the next 10 years]. If you look at the England goalkeeper situation for the last 20 years, I would think he's easily the best."
Ferguson also said he will not think of retiring for at least "another two to three years", providing his health remains good.
"I think you always want to go out on a winning note," said Ferguson.
"Hopefully we can do that. I don't know how long I can last now but if my health stays up I don't think another two or three years would harm me."
