昨天(12/2/2012) 昆州州长 Anna Blign 宣布要扩建 South Bank. 这个新规划被称为 South Bank 2. 各位筒子可以帮忙分析一下这会使那边的apartment的价格涨起来吗?
ANNA Bligh has promised to build another South Bank, in a major play for the hearts of voters across Brisbane.
The Queensland Premier unveiled "South Bank 2", a new 27ha parkland on the bend of the Brisbane river that adjoins the existing cultural precinct.
Existing buildings, including the Parmalat milk factory, would be gradually moved off the site and replaced by a mix of commercial and residential development, as well as large swathes of green space.
The vision could take up to 20 years to complete, like the existing South Bank, and include a national indigenous museum.
Ms Bligh said the Government and South Bank Corporation had already held talks with Parmalat, which holds a lease over state-owned land for a milk truck carpark.
"They want to move out of this residential area to somewhere in an industrial zone on freight routes," she said.
Ms Bligh said the new South Bank would be done on a "cost-neutral" basis by buying the land and selling it back in individual parcels to developers.
"South Bank is set to almost double in size as it continues its reach around the river," she said.
South Bank Corporation chairman Steve Wilson said South Bank was known as the most recognised destination in Brisbane, and the next stage would make it even better.
"It is a very clear case of one and one equals three, because Queenslanders love South Bank 1," he said.
However, LNP leader Campbell Newman said the Government had been talking about the South Bank extension for years.
Mr Newman said South Bank was also in Ms Bligh's electorate, and he questioned whether the Premier had made the announcement because she was worried about losing her own seat.(The Courier-Mail) |
