Are you a programming extraordinaire? Do you have a passion for cutting edge technology? Startdeals is looking for a PHP Engineer to bolster our talented team of Engineers.
What you’ll be doing….
• Architecting and/or developing software systems in an efficient, secure, and sustainable manner.
• Integrating with Groupbuying software products & systems.
• Writing & maintaining clear and concise technical specifications & documentation.
• Working with Startdeals from across the company including production, customer care, marketing, finance, and sales as well as engineering to provide technical input, understand requirements and generally ensure the appropriateness of any technical solutions.
• Working with project team members from across startdeals business.
Who are we looking for:
We're looking for someone who is outgoing and self-motivated, a genuine computer geek who enjoys constructing software and is constantly growing his/her skills in the trade. The ideal candidate reads technology blogs, has programming books on their shelves, and can offer a strong opinion on weak-typing versus strong-typing.
They’ll be able to bring strong knowledge of software engineering practices, concepts and technologies along with strong technical skills in a range of programming languages and protocols such as PHP, RHEL/Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL, XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We’d like them to have experience managing all parts of planning and development including architecture, implementation, QA and documentation as well as experience with Test Driven Development (primarily using PHPUnit).
