A Qantas flight to Melbourne has had to return to Perth after the flight crew noticed a problem with an engine.
The crew detected a vibration in the left-hand engine of the Boeing 767 and after performing in-flight checks decided to return to Perth airport.
The plane landed safely with 234 passengers on board.
The passengers will be flown to Melbourne tonight on other Qantas flights.
The Boeing plane had GE engines.
The incident comes after a mid-air explosion of a Qantas A380 engine, made by Rolls Royce, over Indonesia last week.
Qantas and Singapore Airlines have grounded their A380 planes while the explosion is investigated. |
