1. make sure your IP address for the router is fixed or via DHCP (mostly is
DHCP)
2. make sure your device is MODEM or ROUTER (mostly is ROUTER)
if it is a modem you have to install PPPOE function on your computer (like
old bigpond user), if it is a router, you need nothing
3. make sure the telephone line is connected to TELSTR CMUX (whatever
your ISP is, this step is essential)
if the "line" indicator on the modem/router is stable, congratulations !
try next step, otherwise, have a good sleep and try tommorow
4. suppose you got a router (just try)
find out the default gateway of your computer ( it is the ip address of
your router), login the router via IE (follow the user manual)
you only need finish 2 items: (unless you use fixed IP address)
username is XXX@tpg.com.au password is what you put on the
application form
5. save and reboot ! |
