现在不知道，几年前不需要，西海岸。直接澳洲驾照就行了

其实很简单，租车公司的网站都会有写驾照要求。

What identification (ID) or other documents do I need for vehicle pick-up?
All drivers need a valid driver's license. If your driver's license uses a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, etc.), it must be accompanied by an international driving permit. Any driver's license originating from countries not part of the international driving permit treaty must also be accompanied by an official translation.
Renters from outside the United States must also provide a valid government-issued form of ID like a passport.
For local renters using a debit card, one utility bill that is current, not past due, and from that last 30 days, will be required.

At time of pick-up, driver must present a valid, U.S.-issued driver's license and credit card (or debit card at participating locations) in the driver's name. If the driver's license is not issued in the U.S., you must present your drivers license and either a passport or a Canadian enhanced license in the driver's name.

Restrictions

Customers who are renting (reservation, walkup or upsell) an Avis Signature Series (all Group X vehicles) and presents a non-U.S. issued driver's license along with a U.S. address during the qualification process will also be required to produce a non-U.S. issued passport from the same country identified on the driver's license that is presented.
Renters presenting a driver's license from Mali or Cameroon who wish to rent a vehicle other than car groups A-E MUST also present an International Driver's Permit and a valid passport from the same country identified on the driver's license. These renters WILL also be required to present a secondary form of credit identification to complete the rental process.
