悉尼再有中国女留学生失踪半年 警方呼吁公众提供线索
悉尼警方9月9日发布新闻稿呼吁公众提供线索，寻找一名今年3月份在悉尼Eastern Beaches被报失踪的中国女留学生刘茜（Qian Liu，音译）的下落。
21岁的刘茜2008年1月从中国到澳洲留学，在悉尼一所大学攻读电子工程专业。在这期间她居住在悉尼东区Kingsford的一个unit单位内。
据悉，刘茜自去年10月份起就再没跟在中国的家人联系，她的父母认为这“极不符合她的性格和作风”，于是联系了刘茜所在的大学，该大学在今年3月13日向警方报告她失踪。
警方经调查后发现，刘茜自去年12月份起就不住在Kingsford，也没有再跟朋友们或亲人联系。警方和她的家人非常担忧她的安危，呼吁任何了解内情的人致电警方灭罪热线：1800 333 000。
刘茜是亚洲人外表，身材苗条，黑色短发。

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate a student missing from the Eastern Beaches area since March.
21-year-old Qian Liu arrived in Sydney from China in January 2008 where she commenced a course in electrical engineering at a university in Sydney. During this time she resided at a unit in Kingsford.
Ms Liu was reported missing to Eastern Beaches Police on 13 March 2009 by the university, after they were informed by her parents in China, they had not heard from her since October. Her parents stated this was extremely out of character.
Inquiries by police reveal she has not resided at the Kingsford address since December and has not been seen or contacted her friends or associates.
Police and family are very concerned about her welfare and are hoping the public may be able to assist by providing information to help find the missing student.
Ms Liu is described as being Asian in appearance, slim build with short dark hair.
Anyone who has information concerning the whereabouts of Qian Liu is urged to contact police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
