询问：Overseas Business Travel Expenses Claim

我上个月到了中国进货。。。包了私家车到了不同地方。 由于不是正规的出租车， 没有发票。 请问可以claim吗？

还有， 自已吃饭之类的， 可以claim吗？

还有一些发票全是中文的， 没问题吧？ 谢谢了。

中文发票应该可以claim，至少我的会计师是这样做的，但必须与生意有关，没发票的部分报的话可能有金额些限制，否则税务局查的话会很麻烦。

claim this financial year, since the expenses are incurred this financial year
You will need the following to substantiate your claim
A travel diary is a document in which you record the dates, places, times and duration of your activities and travel (especially if you spent over 6 nights oversea).
Written evidence (receipts & invoices) is required for overseas accommodation expenses regardless of the length of the trip.

However, as I mentioned, I do have have the receipt for the private booking of the 包车 (i paid 700RMB to go to GZ, SZ and DG in China)。 And i didn't keep receipts/tax invoices for my meals as I was thinking that they can't be claimed.

So for the above, can I still claim?

have you kept a travel diary?

Not now, but I do know i need to write one. As the trip is still rather fresh to me, I have no problem writing it.

So do i include the booking of private car and driver expenses if I substantiate that without invoices? Even if i had gotten the driver to write one, it wont be official (most likely, just on a piece of paper anyway) and hence i didn't ask for it.

And let's assume i have the travel diary, can meal expenses while on overseas trip be claimed?
