Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer
The Role
They are currently looking for a Senior level engineer with embedded experience to join their high performing team.
An Engineer you will be responsible for the full product development lifecycle. You will be required to innovate develop concepts, undertake detailed design, and participate in the production of low and high-volume runs. You will work in project teams comprised of Software Developers, App Developers, Industrial Designers, Hardware Engineers, and more.
The role fundamentally involves
Developing software for commercial embedded systems
Integrating software with hardware and testing prototypes
Specification and technical report writing
The following skills and experience will be highly advantageous for a candidate to be successful:
5+ years experience with C. Fluent in C for embedded devices.
Exposure to bootloaders assembler.
experience with 8-32 bit micro-controllers, ARM processors (pref. Cortex M series).
Experience with program in Real time operating systems or state machine structure.
Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
Excellent documentation and writing skills.
Excellent time management and task prioritisation.
Exposure to communications IP protocols, experience in developing products employing 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, CAN etc communications interfaces.
Serial protocols and digital/analogue peripherals.
