QLD Government Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate
QLD Residents Only.

To be eligible for the rebate, you need to submit a fully complete application within 30 days from the date of purchase. If you purchased your appliance prior to applications opening, you will need to lodge a fully complete application by 20 March 2018.
To complete your application you will need to provide:
• your Electricity National Metering Identifier Account Number, located on your household electricity bill
• your name, address, email and telephone number
• the eligible appliance make and model (this may be located on your receipt/tax invoice or on your appliance user manual)
• your bank account BSB and account number (for us to transfer the rebate into if your application is approved)
• a copy of your Tax Invoice/Receipt (scanned and saved to your computer for upload during the application process).
Rebates will apply to purchases on or after 1 January 2018 of the following household appliances:
$200 for a 4 star energy rated Washing Machine - This includes a combination washer/dryer but does not include an appliance that is a dryer only.
$250 for a 4 star energy rated Refrigerator - This includes a combination fridge/freezer but does not include an appliance that is a freezer only.
$300 for a 4 star energy rated Air Conditioner -This includes ducted, split system and window air-conditioners, but does not include freestanding portable air-conditioners or evaporative air conditioners.
To be eligible for a rebate, the appliance must:
have a minimum 4 star energy rating
be new and purchased on or after 1 January 2018 (a copy of the tax receipt must be provided showing you have paid in full)
be for the purposes of domestic/residential use in a Queensland residence.
For air conditioners, the 4 star energy rating relates to cooling. Free-standing, portable air conditioners and evaporative coolers do not qualify for the rebate.
Limited to 1 rebate application per household. Funding is limited.

If you’re connected to our network and you install a new PeakSmart air conditioner, or convert an existing air conditioner to PeakSmart, you can apply for cashback of up to $400!
Residential customers can claim the cashback for up to 5 air conditioners and there is no limit for business customers1. Please note cashback is not available on air conditioners connected to an economy tariff (for example Tariff 33 Economy). The cashback is based on the cooling capacity (measured in kW) of the air conditioner:
$100 cashback – less than 4kW cooling capacity
$200 cashback – >4kw and less than 10kW cooling capacity
$400 cashback – >10kW cooling capacity.
