Location: Melbourne. 12months contract
Opportunities have arisen for OSS Consultants to join the fastest growing Telco Solutions provider.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following technical skills:
• BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience in integrating the Netcool product suite
• Experience with Telecommunications Management Networks (TMN) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) would be a strong advantage
• Netcool, InfoVista, HP OpenView, Websphere, Nexus or similar experience highly desirable
• Minimum 3 years Solaris, HP-UX or Linux experience to system administrator standard
• Knowledge of Perl and shell scripting
• C/C++ and/or Java desirable
The non-technical skills required in order to succeed in this role include, but are not limited to:
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and at the same time adding value as a team member in a project-based environment
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills
• Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations
• Ability to solve problems and solicit the required resources
• Organisational, time management, attention to detail and follow-up skills
Responsibilities include:
• Providing specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support to clients
• Understanding business requirements for customer base and ability to translate them into technical requirements
• Create, present and document technical solutions
