Job Location: Melbourne. 12months contract
Job Description:
This OSS Architect will complement the lead Architect supporting Project Enterprise. This individual will bridge across multiple subject matter experts internally to address and formulate High Level Designs (HLD), Low Level Designs (LLD), system configurations, test criteria and planning. Working collaboratively with the customer, this individual will provide consulting and mentoring in the development of an adaptable and scalable platform which will support business Alliance Solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide architecture leadership in the development of OSS high-level design, low level design, critical sections within key technology areas
• Actively contribute and advise on all architecture activities
• As required, provide documentation of architecture requirements and necessary applications
• Ongoing design leadership and collaborative consulting providing guidance on implementation, integration of EMS, Alarm Correlation, Auto Ticketing, technologies
• Identification and documentation of hardware and software features
• Conduct workshops and mentoring on the best use of features and technology solutions
• Assist in the development of customized methods, procedures and practices of network design
Related Business/ Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
The ROS OSS Architect must have experience in the following:
• Service Provider OSS/NMS Solutions Architecture design and systems integration
• Network and Application Fault and Performance management
• IP Networking, routing and switching, security, QoS, etc.
The ROS OSS Architect should have experience in the following:
• Managed Services - Service Delivery, Network operations
• ITIL – Systems management, Incident Management, Change Management, etc.
• Customer relationship skills
• Working in a remote/distribute team, online collaboration
• Self motivating, independent working, multi-tasking
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies
Experience with tools/technologies like the following is desirable:
• IBM Proviso, Netcool, WebSphere, Nexus, SOA
• BMC Remedy
• InfoVista toolset
• Cisco ANA, Cisco Unified Communications portfolio
• SNMP, Syslog, Cisco IOS, XML/SOAP, Solaris/Linux
Education and Experience
• Requires a technical or business undergraduate degree (or equivalent). MS or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years as an OSS/NMS Architect or OSS/NMS Software Designer.
