[AusGo] 2015 Australian Digital Go Tournament - September 2015, everywhere in Australia
If you are reading this, you are a go player known to the Australian Go Association. Hello.

If you're not in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra, there are not many go tournaments within playing range.

This one is.

We will play on KGS in the Australia Room (or for those who can't reach KGS, OGS; other servers by arrangement). Entry is free; prizes are free entry to the 2016 Australian Go Congress and/or the 2015 Australian National Championships, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. You have a week to play each round at a time that suits you and your opponent. There are divisions for handicap games (over 4k, under 4k) and open games (no handicap, no retreat, no surrender).

All the gory details, and the form to register with, are at the tournament web page. Please pass this on to anyone who plays go online and might want to earn international representative points and a national rank out of it; including your local mailing list, if you are owned by a go club. (Colin, Daviid, Neville: this means you.)

I'm hoping that enough of you will turn out to compete that this can be an annual thing, and maybe some of the bigger state clubs will follow suit. Let's find out.
