What is Daffodil Day?

       Daffodil Day is the largest merchandise based fundraising event of its kind for cancer research, education and patient support in the Southern Hemisphere.

       It is a day to support those touched by cancer and to focus on our belief for a cancer-free future.
The daffodil flower is the international symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer - survivors, patients, family and friends. By participating in Daffodil Day, you will be actively supporting these people in their personal battle.
      
       Fresh daffodils and merchandise are sold at major railway stations, shopping centres, selected retail outlets throughout NSW during August, and by Daffodil Day supporters to their workmates and friends.
Over 28,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in NSW each year. Money raised from the Daffodil Day will help fund cancer research, education and much needed support programs.

Pearsons Florist is joining the fight against cancer by donating 50% of daffodil sales from the 慓ift of Hope' between 18-22 August 2008.
Purchases can be made from any of their stores around Sydney or from the website at www.pearsonsflorist.com.au
On Daffodil Day 22 August 2008, 50% of daffodil bunches sold at Pearsons stores will also be donated to the Cancer Council. Brighten someone's day and send some hope with Pearsons Florist.

NOTE: Supporters will also be able to buy daffodils from Cancer Council volunteers on Daffodil Day 22 August.
