When attempting to verify my identity I receive the error message, ‘not a valid date’.
This error message generally occurs when the date format on the computer displays the months before the days.
To overcome this error you will need to change the regional settings on your computer by following these instructions:
Click on Start, on the task bar
Settings
Control panel
Regional settings (or Regional and language options)
Change the format to English (Australian)
You should then be able to complete the verification process and lodge your return. After you have successfully lodged, you can change the date settings back to their original format in the manner outlined above.
