网站报告应该效果不明显，应该马上打000报警，报告怀疑有人醉酒或嗑药驾驶

I have reported over the years several instances where I've seen extremely dangerous driving, reported it immediately to '000' and a highway patrol car has picked up the message and 10km down the road the car is pulled up.
The most recently example I witnessed at 10pm at night on the F3 Freeway a car that was having trouble keeping within their lane. They were also doing 80km/hr in a 110km/hr zone in the 'fast lane'. They were moving into the other lanes every 30 seconds or so and it was obvious the person driving was intoxicated (and if not, certainly should not have been on the road).
I made a call to '000', and the problem was broadcast. A highway patrol car must have been in the vicinity and about 20km later there was a highway patrol car in a U-Turn bay who came out and pulled the car over.
Another example was a car that sped past so fast on a weekend that I only saw it for a couple of seconds before it was gone ... must have been doing way over 200km/hr ... I reported it to 000 and 20 minutes later I passed 3 police cars that had pulled over the vehicle.
If you feel bad about holding '000' up then call the Police Assistance Line on '131 444' which will have, essentially, the same outcome.
I've reported many dangerous drivers in this way. Always on freeways where I know the police will be able to have enough time to catch them ... |
