应该报警的，至少警察来了，会扣他分吧。扣分也是证据啊。现在呢，你有证据告他吗？你告他，他搬家，你再也找不到他了

我特意查了一下AAMI third party damage insurance具体条款如下：When your car is damaged in a collision with
another vehicle driven by an uninsured driver, we
cover damage to your car but only if:
•    we agree you are not at fault; and
•    you give us the name and address of the
uninsured driver; and
•    you give us the registration details of the other
vehicle;
and we have otherwise agreed to pay your claim.
Limit
Cost of repairs up to a total of $5,000 or the
market value of your car, whichever is less.
