The jury also heard Lily Lin was beaten so badly her face was unrecognisable and NSW police initially thought she was a man who had been executed with a shot gun.
第一名警察轻轻推开门，发现林云丽的上身赤裸的尸体坐在床上，肩膀和后背靠在满是血迹的墙上，凶手还把两具尸体摆成V的形状，用床单把林愍盖住。
Senior Constable Robert Levins, one of two officers who discovered the gruesome scene of the Lin family murders, told the jury that when he nudged open the door to the master bedroom he saw Lily’s body sitting on the bed, with her shoulders and back resting against the blood-covered wall.
He saw Lily’s face was covered in blood and she was naked from the waist up. Min was nowhere to be seen. For reasons unknown, killer returned to the room when the killings were done and arranged then in a “V” like shape, with Min hidden under the covers.
第二名警察认为这是男人的尸体，他以为是凶手是用Shotgun近距离开枪，因为脸部完全无法辨识，眼睛、鼻子、嘴巴都被完全破坏。
后来有报道说有林家血案的警察去看心理医生。
He said Lily’s face exhibited signs of “extreme trauma” and the second officer, Sargent Lachlan Kirby, initially believed her corpse was that of a man’s because he “couldn’t see any facial features.”
四个小时后，警察在床罩下面发现了林愍的尸体。
The jury was told police initially believed Xie’s brother-in-law Min Lin was the killer because it took more than four hours to find his body under the doona of the bed he shared with wife Lily.
Tedeschi检察官说从杀死人之后还不停的攻击可以看出早有预谋的谢出于怨恨，冷血灭门林家。
Senior Crown Prosecutor Mark Tedeschi QC alleges Xie murdered his relatives in a “pre-planned, deliberately executed crime of bitterness”, judging by the way the adult victims faces had been “smashed” beyond what was required to take their lives.
