I do not really agree LZ's point. Sorry, can not type Chinese on Work computer. Every family is different, if they think sending their kids away is something good for the family, they have the right to do that. After I was seven months old,my parents have to leave countryside and start their small busy as they can not afford to raise three children and older parents. We lived with our grandparents about 5 years and then we are on our own until now. In my whole life so far, I only spent around 5 years with my parents, but I appreciate everything my parents have done for me. Family education can not be measured by how much time you spent with your child, it is about how well you spent that time with your child. My parents showed me how to be a strong and independen person and give me 100% freedom with trust. If they have the choice, I believe they would choose to raise us by themself like LZ said. The communication between parents and children are really important, if you do not communicate with each other honestly, it might be better you do not live together.
I do hope I do not need send my kids away after I have kids. However, if it is a better option for the whole family,I will chose as my parents did.
As I said at the begining, every family is different. It is not fair to judge other parents' choice. |
