太好了这个帖子，楼主真是难得一遇的大好人。已经火速报名了下一期的讲座。
请问楼主，我是新移民刚来几个月，国内工科背景毕业后多年都是从事专利技术审查工作，如果将来想找政府工应该读什么专业？我报名了tafe的英语课程想打好基础被分班在四级purpose for academic,犹豫是不是报错班了应该直接学针对性的课程，又一下子不知道报什么班合适。急切盼望楼主抽空给一点指导？多谢多谢！

查过澳洲的专利局审查员只收citizen，而且在堪培拉

恩我会一步一步慢慢来，好好努力，就是不知道怎么入门，去报英语课也是想督促自己更好地学习，但是身边几个朋友都觉得单独学英语课有点浪费时间，应该直接报tafe的专业课程一边学专业一边也提高英语，所以想换一个有针对的课程，有什么专门针对找政府工的课程吗？或者如果想做政府工又没啥相关背景，学个什么专业课程比较容易起步？例如助理什么的?

其实是自己经历过所以才不想别人走同样的弯路嘛～我觉得你很厉害啊～也很羡慕你这种想要做一件事就真的能果断地只为了做好这一件而去努力。我就正好相反了，因为家里有个生意需要帮忙所以基本上都没有时间好好想下到底要做什么。现在在两个不同的领域做义工马上就要满三个月了，不知道之后要干嘛，旁敲侧击地问过做义工的地方要不要人，得到的答案都是不需要。可惜的是我做的都只有volunteer能做，他们是不会重新招人专门去做volunteer做的工作的。我总有感觉即使有的地方要人他们也都已经内部消化了或者因为经济危机有人想骑驴找马可惜马就是找不到所以即使想走也走不掉。一起做义工的有的在那里做了一年多就是想能找机会留在那里。总感觉自己还是在做无用功，估计我要是找到了铁饭碗就会是那种赖着不走的人，折腾来折腾去的实在太累人了。。

看上去离职时间要再推迟一两周，今天和老板说了，老板很随和。。这已是第二次推迟了，偶心想幸亏是政府部门，如果是私人公司，不知道会不会这么包容偶。。
